We cannot do this work alone. As an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on neighbors like you to fund our outreach, legal advocacy, and community eduction efforts on your behalf, which include appearing before Town boards, assisting with petitions, attending public hearings, and writing letters to officials and the Southampton Press and other local papers.
What you can do NOW:

Supporters of BridgeCivic can make donations using appreciated stock.Capital gains on appreciated stock are not taxed when the stock is donated, and the donor receives a charitable deduction for the full value of the gift. Contact your CPA/Tax Advisor as to how this applies to you, and contact bridgecivic@gmail.com for stock transfer instructions.
You can also use your IRA to support the Bridgehampton Civic Association. If your age requires you to take minimum annual distributions (RMDs) from your IRA, when you make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) from your IRA to the Bridgehampton Civic Association, this otherwise taxable distribution should not count as taxable income and your gift will help our efforts to reduce overdevelopment in our hamlet and maintain our beautiful, rural character.
